What is group supervision like?

Charlie’s supervision groups are full of brave, thoughtful clinicians who give a damn about their clients and anti-oppressive work. Supervision is often the missing piece for helping professionals to lean into growth and learning, while also providing better care for clients.

Alongside case consult and growing clinical skills, group members will also be encouraged to grow their understanding of themselves within the client-clinician relationship.

Together, the group covers things like:

• Offering each other support and encouragement

• Providing compassionate weight neutral care (most helpful for those working in eating disorders and/or disordered eating)

• Validating clinical skills and assessment

• Reflecting on strengths and areas of improvement

• Asking tough questions

• Understanding privileges and biases

• Sharing strategies and suggestions

• Holding each other in kind accountability

• Challenging imposter syndrome and Expert Mode

• Building counseling skills

• Navigating struggles and accomplishments in private practice (if applicable)

This is a group for more than just case consultation. Join a non-judgmental community of people who are just as committed to learning and being a better clinician (and person) as you are!

Who is this group for?

This group best serves dietitians who are committed to doing the work (inside and outside of sessions), value lived experience, nuance, and intersectionality, and have interest in expanding their care skills to be more compassionate, inclusive, and relational.

Charlie offers a grounded and non-judgmental leading style, with a passion for offering expansive views on themes and interpersonal dynamics that often go missed from the nutrition counseling side of care (ie. our traditional RD trainings). Charlie also structures groups to be as collaborative and non-hierarchical as possible while creating a soft place to land together.

Group Details

• 5 sessions total, 60 minutes each (1st session is 75 min)

• Each participant will chose one week to present 1-2 questions or cases while the group supports them, with an intention of creating a space with less urgency, more depth, and more learning for all

• Our first session will include introductions, group agreements, and preparation strategies to lay the foundation of our time together

• Cost: $300 USD ($60/session)

• Group size: 5 attendees + Charlie

• Sessions conducted on Zoom and will have the option of being recorded (with group consent) to view later

About Charlie

Hi, I’m Charlie! I use they/them pronouns and run a solo private practice in Denver, Colorado. I’m thrilled that you’re considering supervision with me! I’m incredibly ethics-focused, and my mission in both work and personal life is to support and uplift folx of marginalized identities while being mindful of my multiple privileges.

I take an intersectional, therapeutic, social justice-oriented approach. I like cuss words, authenticity, and owning sh*t even when it’s really, incredibly uncomfortable. While I can never claim to be an expert on any lived experience but my own, I frequently work within the “specialties” of LGBTQ+ affirming, weight neutral, trauma informed, eating disorder care.

Alongside hosting group supervision at Moxie Mind, Charlie also provides group supervision for practice owners & their teams, treatment centers, and other groups of clinicians (not exclusive to RDs). Rate: Sliding scale $300-500/hour
